Artist’s Statement
My work in general deals with a number of issues in postmodern aesthetics — in particular,
questions of appropriation, authenticity, and authorship; originality and meaning; and problems
involving identity. As you page through the various galleries, additional comments will be
available to help open a door into the particular series of works each contains.
Currently, there are four image galleries on this site. Family Album reconsiders the definition of
“family,” and Lonely Planet Boy deals with issues of identity and control. The third, Works in
Progress, features images from a number of ongoing series. The last, Nudes, presents images
from my most recent series.
