My work in general deals with a number of issues in postmodern aesthetics —
in particular, questions of appropriation, authenticity, and authorship; originality and meaning;
and problems involving identity. As you page through the various galleries, additional comments
will be available to help open a door into the particular series of works each contains.

Family Album reconsiders the definition of “family.” Lonely Planet Boy deals with issues of
identity and control. Nudes features images from an ongoing series. Dear Diary presents images
from a series that deals with identity and appearances. Inanimate Objects explores issues of
identity, as well as how we represent ourselves to others. Virgins re-interprets the standard
representations of well-known actresses of the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. Nothing There is a Dadaist riff
on the vagaries of Modern and Contemporary art. Figures consists in a playful yet serious attempt
to come to terms with how we see ourselves. Works in Progress offers a few miscellaneous images
from a number of ongoing or unfinished projects.
